Congratulations Blue Origin on your 10th human flight! A remarkable milestone in advancing spaceflight and pushing the boundaries of possibility.

We just completed our 10th human spaceflight and the 30th flight of the New Shepard program. The astronaut crew included Lane Bess, Jesús Calleja, Elaine Chia Hyde, Dr. Richard Scott, Tushar Shah, and an undisclosed sixth person. This was Lane’s second flight. Congratulations to our friends at Blue Origin on a successful NS-29 mission today. By creating a test bed for scientific experiments in a lunar gravity environment, this flight pushes the boundaries of research and technology essential for future exploration.

We just completed our 29th flight of the New Shepard program, the 14th payload mission, and the first Lunar-G flight! The payloads experienced roughly two minutes of lunar gravity forces.

Our CEO, Gwen Griffin, testified to state legislators yesterday as Chair of the Texas Space Commission. Her insights helped emphasize the pivotal role Texas plays in advancing the commercial space industry and fostering innovation across the sector.

Yesterday, Texas Space Commission Board of Directors Chair Gwen Griffin provided testimony to the Texas House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations regarding implementation of House Bill 3447.

Griffin informed legislators about the availability of applications for the Space Exploration and Aeronautics Research Fund (SEARF) grant program. SEARF is a $150 million fund intended to support high-quality projects that can help propel space industry sectors across Texas.

“We anticipate receiving numerous applications in the coming weeks,” said Griffin. “I’m excited to see what the demand signal is from across Texas and to better understand the landscape of ideas that will grow the state’s space economy now and in the future.”
