WWE is saddened to learn that Windham Rotunda, also known as Bray Wyatt, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 24, at age 36.

Post-match: bray Wyatt put on a new mask and took the post-match fight to the production area. Uncle howdy appeared and dropped onto LA knight through the platform causing an explosion.

Post-match: a video package plays reminding bliss of her past with Wyatt and the fiend

*Rhea Ripley entered #1 and won the women's royal rumble match.

*Roman reigns def. Kevin Owen's.
Post-match: ko is beaten by the bloodline and handcuffed to the ropes. Sammy turned on reigns and hit him with the chair, reigns then utilized most of the bloodline to beat Sammy.

UPDATE: According to Fightful, WWE held a talent meeting today before tonight's SmackDown. Triple H led the meeting and assured any talent who were worried by reassuring them that Vince McMahon is back in WWE to only facilitate in selling the company. Hunter let talent know that there isn't a "done deal" yet as far as who WWE will be sold to.

Triple H also let talent know that regardless of what's going on in the higher ups, he will still be in charge of creative. Hunter did keep it open that while anything could happen and that he does have discussions with Vince, at the end of the day, Triple H has the final say in creative. WWE was also adamant to Fightful that Triple H would stay head of creative.
