Today, I'm choosing gratitude.

Gratitude for every lesson, every challenge that made me stronger, every person who stood beside me, and even every obstacle that revealed my resilience. I'm thankful for my family, my faith, my purpose, and the opportunity to continue helping others despite adversity.

No amount of negativity can overshadow a grateful heart. I know who I am, what I stand for, and the values I refuse to compromise. Every day is another chance to grow, to serve, and to walk forward with integrity and courage.

Online harassment and cyberstalking are serious issues that should never be dismissed as Internet drama. Repeated harassment, fabricated stories, stalking, doxxing, coordinated attacks, and other potentially criminal conduct should be documented and reported to the appropriate authorities.

Individuals who exploit or prey on vulnerable people under the guise of activism are not exempt from accountability. Preserve the evidence, document the conduct, and report it to your local law enforcement agency and the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at 👉👉 ic3.gov

Targeting innocent people and organizations simply because they have, or once had, some connection to me or because they decline to respond to your team is reckless, cowardly, and unacceptable.

For the public record, I am not a board member of Emerging Grace Ministries, and I have never been employed by the organization. However, even if I were, I have done nothing wrong and there is no reason why I wouldn't qualify to be a part of any organization.

My decision to distance myself from people and places was made for one reason only: to protect more innocent people from becoming targets of retaliation.

Unfortunately, that fear has proven to be well-founded. This is not an isolated incident. It is a pattern.

The same tactics have been used against my daughter Jazmin Perez, Hector Perez, my other children, my grandchild, my family members, friends, businesses, nonprofits, and individuals who have done nothing more than know me or be associated with me in some way. Now, once again, more innocent people are being dragged into controversy simply to retaliate against me.

That is not justice nor is it advocacy. It is harassment and its disgusting. The pattern has extended to businesses, organizations, state agencies, law enforcement, and even the FBI through repeated allegations and reports that have been based on false and fabricated claims. Online and offline, innocent people continue to be pulled into unnecessary conflict that they have nothing to do with.

Any reasonable person should be concerned when someone spends their time posting about another individual sometimes up to 20 times in one day, showing up at their home, targeting their family, creating fake missing person flyers about their child, being fixated on someone's newborn baby, monitoring a person's activities, and attempting to damage the reputations of anyone associated with them.

Disliking someone is one thing. Campaigns of obsession, stalking and retaliation are another.

I will continue to stand for the truth, and I will continue to defend innocent people including myself who are being unfairly targeted simply for speaking truth or because of their association with me. Children, nonprofits, businesses, and community organizations should never become collateral damage in someone else's personal vendetta.

I will once again assure any and everyone that I have never trafficked or taken advantage of anyone including my own child(ren). I have and will continue to cooperate with any law enforcement or other investigating agency that contacts me.

So proud of my daughter for standing up for herself and learning to use her voice. What all these women did to her and to our family is 100% unacceptable. Its extremely disturbing that so many people fall into their fabricated stories.

Yesterday's courtroom proceedings in a motion to recuse hearing in the protective order case of Jazmin Perez vs. Candice Matthews brought forward some significant disclosures and allegations.

In open court, it was disclosed that Candice Matthews was hired by Derrick Johnson, the husband of Judge Damianne Curvey, to target his own wife after she sought protection from Johnson.

As a result, Judge Curvey was recused from the case. Matthews' attorney requested that a non-African American judge be assigned to the case.

The judge also informed the parties that the existing protective order of Jazmin Perez against Candice Matthews is still in effect. Likewise, a protective order is in effect against Kristen Dowdy who has allegedly made efforts to avoid being served.

Additionally, according to statements made directly to Jazmin Perez by Candice Matthews' attorney, Ajua Justice, Jennifer "Nikki" Whitton is alleged to be the mastermind of creating the missing person hoax and fabricating stories alleging that Jenifer Knighton trafficked her and Whitton.

For months, the public has been inundated with sensational accusations, coordinated social media campaigns, and narratives presented as fact. Yesterday's hearing served as a reminder that what circulates online and what is presented in a courtroom under scrutiny are often very different things.

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words only have power if I give them power.

One thing I've learned is that when you make peace with your past, there are no skeletons left to hide. So many people spend their lives worried that someone will discover something they did 10, 15, or 20 years ago. But the truth is, every experience whether good, bad, or somewhere in between, it has helped shape the person you are today.

I can look back on my life with honesty, reflect on the mistakes, appreciate the lessons, and be grateful for the journey. Growth isn't about pretending you've always been perfect. It's about acknowledging where you've been, learning from it, and becoming better because of it.

The older I get, the more I realize that peace comes from acceptance, not perfection.

PUBLIC STATEMENT

Because there are ongoing legal proceedings, this will be my only public statement on these matters for now.

For months, false allegations, rumors, and fabricated stories have been circulated online about me, my daughter Jazmin Perez, and others connected to our family. Most recently, another false narrative was created claiming that I represented myself as a Fox 26 news anchor. Like the many allegations before it, that claim is completely untrue.

I have consistently denied these allegations and have chosen to address these matters through the appropriate legal channels rather than through social media.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office, the Harris County District Attorney's Office, and the FBI are aware of complaints and reports that have been submitted regarding activities surrounding these matters. I have cooperated and will continue to cooperate with any lawful requests from the appropriate authorities.

Most importantly, Jazmin Perez exercised her legal rights through the court system. She appeared in court, stood on her own, and obtained an extended protective order against Candice Matthews and Kristen Danielle Dowdy.

After months of online and offline stalking and harassment, Jazmin made the decision to seek protection through the courts. Any future statements regarding her experiences, legal matters, or personal circumstances will be made by Jazmin and her attorney if and when they choose to do so.

Please respect her privacy and leave her alone.

I also believe that everyone involved should allow the judicial process to work without interference, intimidation, speculation, or attempts to influence ongoing proceedings. The courts are the appropriate place for these matters to be addressed.

I will not be engaging in online arguments regarding Grizzys Hood News LLC or any other individuals involved in ongoing litigation. I reserve the right to moderate my social media pages and remove comments or block accounts that are disruptive, abusive, repetitive, or intended solely to provoke conflict.

I also firmly believe that matters of legitimate public concern can be discussed and reported on within the protections afforded by the law and the First Amendment. However, the facts will ultimately speak for themselves through the appropriate legal process.

At this time, I have no further comment.

My focus remains on my family, my work, and allowing the legal system to do its job. Thank you to those who have shown support, respected our privacy, and allowed the truth to unfold through the proper channels.
