The year is 95’, and Crime Boss steps up with his debut “All in the Game”. Coming straight out of Houston and backed by the legendary Suave House movement, this is a really solid contribution to the Dirty South catalog. T-Mix handles most of the production, bringing that heavy and unmistakably Southern sound that fits Crime Boss perfectly.
I’ve spent more time diving deeper into the Suave House catalog lately, and it has been a lot of fun discovering more from this camp. Huge respect to HCR for making gems like this available on vinyl. I’m also a big fan of tmix_muzik as a producer, so being able to add projects like this to the collection suits me perfectly.
Crime Boss brings a ton of energy throughout the album. His delivery has real presence and matches T-Mix’s production perfectly, making the whole project feel gritty, confident and authentic. Throw in appearances from 8Ball, MJG and South Circle, and you’ve got a really enjoyable listen for anyone into that classic Suave House sound.
Maybe not the first record people mention from this era, but definitely one worth spending time with.
