Idk if Iā€™ve ever seen worse l&d nurses than at St. Lukeā€™s, and Iā€™m actually ready to box someonešŸ˜…

They told her she canā€™t give the baby Kendamil and can only feed him what the hospital provides (also told her to not let him breastfeed for too longšŸ˜‚). Mind you, heā€™s not in the NICU and heā€™s not on any type of specialty formulaā€¦theyā€™re literally just giving him the basic ready-to-feed Enfamil bottles. šŸ˜…

Sheā€™s barely 24 hours post C-section and hasnā€™t been given a single thing for pain today. The nurses have barely been in her room even when sheā€™s called for help, meanwhile sheā€™s still on a mag drip with a catheter, which they havenā€™t checked all day either.

Like hello?? She just had major abdominal surgery and is still obviously being treated for preeclampsia. Why do moms constantly have to fight for basic postpartum care?! šŸ˜­

Really trying to make the kidsā€™ rooms a little more functional before school starts, starting with the media room (aka Leviā€™s room šŸ˜…).

We figured the bed was the best place to start, so we swapped out his old bedding for this duvet and sheet set from Quince. Next up is finding him a desk, dresser, and some decor to hopefully make it feel a little less like a media room and a little more like his room. Any ideas are welcome! ā¤ļø

I think Iā€™ve finally found a planning system that works for my brain lolšŸ„¹Now I just have to find all the inserts and stationery to personalize my Filofax the way Iā€™m imagining & will definitely be going back to the first store asap to grab some things. Is it normal for kindergarten to only ask for one box of crayons for the whole school year? Iā€™ll definitely be sending Lennon with extras because thereā€™s no way one box is lasting all year lol šŸ¤£, but I swear my older kidsā€™ lists always asked for more?!

It feels surreal that Iā€™m finally doing this after putting it off for so long, but I promised myself Iā€™d do more things for me this year. šŸ„¹

PSA from someone whoā€™s learned the hard way:
ā€¢ Donā€™t get a tattoo because of a guyā€¦ or from a random guy at a flea market when youā€™re 16
ā€¢ Donā€™t let your best friend pierce your belly button at home
ā€¢ And definitely donā€™t re-pierce it two more times after your body rejects unless you want to be left with a bunch of scar tissuešŸ« 

I promise I wasnā€™t that bad of a teenager, I just made a few questionable decisions lol. But I really hope my kids donā€™t decide to give me payback one day šŸ˜…šŸ¤žšŸ»
