Rendevieux Ren de vieux with me:

Hi, my name is Kaela Lewis. I am a lover of all things, believer in God, a loving wife, and an awesome mommy of two!

I started dreaming about this moment when I first moved to Texas. It’s something about driving those long country roads and you see the sky, those hay bells and the sunsets. I started telling my husband, look how beautiful this open road looks. And if you know my husband then you would know he wasn’t impressed. Then our daughter was born and I started with her getting photographed and then becomin

g obsessed with taking pictures of her and then came our son and they are my muses. In addition to social media and communications management, I love planning parties, making stationary and invitations, and finding the perfect gift for love ones. You know all the special little things that make for a happy life.

New month. New alignment. Same God 🙌🏾

This July, I’m not chasing, I’m receiving.

Here’s to friends who aren't gatekeepers.

Paid speaking engagements.

Getting ready to embark on a new journey.

Conferences that align with my calling.

Doors are opening that I didn’t have to knock on.

That’s what happens when preparation meets purpose.

Here’s to blessings that know your name. And I’m praying that you receive favor too.

Let’s walk into July with faith, clarity, and full expectation.

I just launched my blog through The Axiom Group, and I’m starting with a topic that brings together two areas I care deeply about: public policy and strategic communications.

As someone who has studied how digital platforms shape civic engagement and political participation, I’ve seen how podcasting has become a powerful tool for influence. Podcasts are no longer a niche format. They’re a trusted space for real conversation, advocacy, and public education.

In this first post, I’m sharing:
• Why podcasts are gaining traction in the policy space
• How they inform, activate, and build trust
• What leaders in public service, advocacy, and communications can do to use them more strategically

If your work involves shaping public narratives or engaging communities, this post is for you.

“Do you have a great story — but don’t know how to get the media to pay attention?

It’s a question I’ve heard dozens of times from incredible leaders:
→ Entrepreneurs launching bold ideas
→ School PR teams managing major announcements
→ Nonprofit founders doing life-changing work

The truth is, you shouldn’t have to guess your way through writing a press release.
That’s exactly why I created the Essential Press Release Kit — a done-for-you resource that walks you through exactly how to craft press releases and media advisories with purpose, clarity, and confidence.

What’s inside?
✅Templates for award announcements, event recaps, and crisis communications
✅Media advisory format
✅Headline formulas that get attention
✅Email pitch scripts
✅Distribution checklist

No guesswork. No starting from scratch. Just tools that help you show up like a pro.

Whether you’re building visibility, managing community engagement, or launching a new initiative — this kit helps you lead the conversation instead of reacting to it.

If you’ve ever said, “I wish someone could just show me how to do this right…”

Today, we have made history! The first American Pope. Welcome, Pope Leo XIV, former Cardinal Prevost from Chicago. We’re praying for him and the Catholic church. As a faith, we are proud Catholics today 🤍.

This week, I found myself doing something I don’t often do—being indecisive.
I was chatting with someone on my team, trying to decide whether to add a full redesign project to her plate or just request a quick edit. I was pausing—not because I didn’t know what I wanted, but because I knew how heavy her workload already was, and I wanted to be thoughtful.

In that moment, she looked at me and said,
“Kaela, this is your department. You can do what you want.”

I said, “You’re right,” and gave her the full redesign. But what stuck with me wasn’t the decision—it was our team culture and dynamic behind that moment.

In that moment, we both knew that she could be direct with me.
🟢 No hesitation.
🟢 No reservation.
🟢 No fear of blowback.

That, to me, is a WIN. Because in some workplaces and on some teams, that level of honesty isn’t welcomed—it’s punished.

So here’s your reminder:
🎯 Empowered teams speak up.
🎯 Honest feedback is a gift.
🎯 And leadership isn’t about having the power—it’s about how you use it.

The best leadership moments aren’t always the loudest ones.
They happen in quick conversations, honest exchanges like this, and quiet decisions.

How are you creating a culture where your team feels safe to speak up?
Because when people feel heard, they show up fully—and that’s where trust, accountability, and growth begin.

Leadership isn’t just about what we build professionally — it’s also about how present we are personally.

Between leading teams, building brands, and chasing big goals, life can sometimes feel like it’s moving super fast. But every now and then, it’s important to slow down and be fully present for the moments that matter most.

Over the weekend, was that moment for me, helping my daughter get ready for her first Sneaker Ball.

Watching her get ready, including her dress, deciding on the sneakers, make-up, etc. was the highlight of my week —and a reminder of why we work so hard in the first place.

No matter how busy life gets, I always try to make space for the moments that matter the most to me and you should do the same for you.Tell me what was the highlight of your week and how do you make yourself and your family priorities.
