Here's a promo video I filmed in one evening, and edited in a day. So much fun!

These types of videos provide some interesting challenges. Like this one, I had not seen the show before hitting record. It also requires a quick turnaround because the show is in a couple of days from the filming - so I have to find a balance of high energy, quality, and a dose of "good enough" - it's a great challenge for minimal planning, quick thinking on the fly creativity in the filming and editing. There is an amazing music event taking place this weekend just down the road in Houston, Ohio. It's called Schaferpalooza! There's a free concert tonight (Friday, August 2nd), and paid admission to see some incredible bands all day Saturday. I've been helping with it for a few years, and they it's really grown.

I worked on this promo video for it, and then I had an idea to write a custom song for the event - The song was recorded and mixed in Nashville at AOK Records & Production, and the lead vocal was sung by Zach Rosenbeck of SAW CRUSH (one of the featured acts on Saturday). A shout-out to Ohio HD Video for hooking me up with an emergency lens rental in Columbus. They have an incredible studio and are really cool folks. I hope I can work with them again in the near future.
