BREAKING: Ireland has officially completed a Sandwich Census. 🥪🇮🇪

I’ve been appointed Ireland’s Official Sliced Pan Ambassador to deliver the findings (and yes I know what you’re thinking - the right man for the job 🥳😂)

Some highlights:

- 63% say the way you cut a sandwich affects the taste - and triangles are the winner.

- The crisp sandwich has been voted Ireland’s national sandwich, beating ham & cheese and chicken & stuffing.

- 56% choose cheese & onion for their crisp sandwich. Salt & vinegar only managed 11%.

- 52% say the heel is fair game when making a sandwich. 14% say NEVER.

- And the sandwich behaviours Ireland judges most? Removing the crusts and toasting lettuce.

The Census basically confirms one thing: we all love a sandwich made with Irish bread 🥳
