🚨🤠 BREAKING: Drivers Entering Texas Were Reportedly Greeted by a Highway Sign So Accurate, Locals Are Calling It “The Most Honest Thing TxDOT Has Ever Posted.” 😂
The sign explains the unofficial rules of driving through the Lone Star State:
🛣️ Right lane: Cruising along and enjoying the view.
🚗 Middle lane: “I’m only doing 75… probably.”
🛻 Left lane: Somebody in a giant lifted truck doing 90 because “Texas is huge and I’ve got places to be.” 😂
🏁 Passing lane?
“Good luck, y’all.”
Locals say Texas speed limits aren't really numbers — they're more like friendly suggestions, depending on traffic, construction, weather, and whether you’re anywhere near Houston, Dallas, Austin, or San Antonio. 😂
The sign also warns newcomers about common Texas road conditions, including:
✔ Sudden thunderstorms and flash flooding 🌧️
✔ Potholes that seem to appear overnight
✔ Deer, armadillos, and the occasional cow wandering too close to the road 🦌🐄
✔ Construction zones that somehow last longer than expected 🚧
✔ Giant pickup trucks that make your vehicle look like a shopping cart
✔ And one guy hauling something down I-35 with two straps and 100% confidence 😂
Meanwhile, construction signs nearby simply read:
“EXPECT DELAYS.”
Texans reportedly responded:
“Yep. Sounds about right.” 😂
Truck drivers at a nearby Buc-ee’s allegedly confirmed the sign is completely accurate.
“One time I got passed by a pickup doing 85 while towing a trailer, eating a breakfast taco, and somehow changing lanes at the same time,” one driver joked. “That’s when I realized I wasn't in Kansas anymore.” 🤠😂
Out-of-state drivers reportedly become confused when locals cruise down the highway at 80 mph while a thunderstorm is approaching from one direction and the temperature is pushing 100°F from the other.
“That’s just Texas driving,” explained one local. “If somebody lets you merge onto I-10, give them the Texas thank-you wave.” 🤠👋
At the bottom of the sign, a final message welcomes visitors:
🌵🤠 “WELCOME TO TEXAS — BIG ROADS, BIG TRUCKS, BIG WEATHER & SOMEHOW, MORE CONSTRUCTION.” 😂
Locals say that roughly translates to:
“Your GPS says 20 minutes. Texas says… we’ll see.” 😂🤠
