Most people know Warren Harding as the 29th President of the United States. Fewer know about Carrie Fulton Phillips, the woman who carried on a years-long affair with Harding before he became president.

Today, I visited Carrie Fulton Phillips' final resting place. Her story is tied to one of the most fascinating and controversial chapters in Harding's life—a story involving secret letters, political intrigue, and allegations that reached all the way to the White House.

History isn't always found in museums. Sometimes it's hidden in quiet cemeteries, waiting to be remembered.

I don't know what it is, but mosquitoes absolutely love me. I can stand in a group of 20 people and somehow end up covered in bites while everyone else walks away untouched. To make it even better, I react to them and get giant welts.

This morning I decided to hike a quick mile in shorts to grab some footage before a run. Big mistake. The mosquitoes started attacking the second I stepped out of the car and didn't let up the entire time.
The footage was worth it... but these bites are making me question that decision. 🦟😅

Last week I made a very poor decision to take my kayak out on a similar river. The kayak (Oru Lake) is not made for this type of water and it nearly cost me.

I ended up being sucked under a down tree and somehow made it out the other side. The kayak was pinned under the tree and when I retrieved it I was again in a fight with the power of the river.

This was followed by a 1.5 mile off trail hike back to my car that at one point had me hanging by my neck from my shirt.

Unfortunately this family and the 15 year old were not as lucky. Respect the rivers and learn from our mistakes.

A man and a woman were also rescued from a log jam in the Licking River. No other injuries were reported.
