Living by Nature’s Calendar
Before clocks and calendars, humanity looked to the rhythms of nature for guidance.
The moon completes its cycle in approximately 28 days. Thirteen moon cycles create a natural year of 364 days ~ a rhythm reflected in the tides, the seasons, and many cycles of life itself.
Nature follows its own wisdom.
Each season has its own purpose.
Yet in modern life, we often expect ourselves to operate at the same pace every day of the year.
Nature doesn’t.
The trees do not bloom in winter.
The gardens do not harvest in spring.
The moon does not remain full all the time.
Even the sun takes a rest.
Everything has a season.
Perhaps true balance comes not from doing more, but from aligning ourselves with the natural rhythms that have guided life for thousands of years.
What routines, rituals, or practices do you adjust with the changing seasons? How do you honor the natural rhythm of nature in your own life?
