This afternoon, we honor one of the best people I've ever met.. I'd like to tell you how karaoke started at The Bar.. I asked Judy several times.. I like the vibe in here.. Can I do karaoke here.. Several times she told me no.. Then one night, I asked again.. She said, "Fine, you've bugged me enough, Monday night.." I thought, Monday night?? WTF am I supposed to do with that? I never imagined it would be successful.. We did game night.. It didn't work out, and after a while I called and said it wasn't working.. Can I do karaoke on Wednesdays, too? She obliged, and once again, it worked.. I know she's going to be pi**ed that I'm posting this.. The best part of working at The Bar is the charity work she has allowed me to be a part of.. THOUSANDS of dollars raised for charity.. It has been an honor to watch Judy raise all that money for charity.. She has taught me more than I can tell you about business, but more importantly, how important it is to give back to others.
