☀️🌿Longest day of the year, cold plunges, yoga in the fields, sound baths, live music, rescue animals, wellness vendors, food, and one of the most unexpectedly wild farm properties in the Hudson Valley all packed into a single day. 🌿☀️

Hudson Valley’s Summer Solstice Celebration takes over Blue Arrow Farm on June 21, turning the entire property into an all day gathering built around wellness, movement, music, healing, and the energy that comes with the start of summer itself. From morning into the afternoon, yoga classes, pilates, sound baths, holistic healing sessions, readers, ritual practitioners, cold plunges, live music, artisan vendors, and family activities spread across the farm while people move between open fields, forest paths, animal encounters, and gathering spaces tucked throughout the property.

Blue Arrow Farm already operates on its own frequency, rescue animals, hidden forest paths, open fields, bonfire spaces, oversized art installations, and little corners of the property that feel completely disconnected from normal life once. When you add people flowing between wellness sessions, live music, food, and healing experiences spread across the property, the entire thing starts feeling like the unofficial kickoff to Hudson Valley summer.

There’s also a full family side built into the day. Pony rides, gem mining, train rides, face painting, scavenger hunts, and animal encounters keep kids busy all day, while everyone else bounces between yoga sessions, shopping, live music, and cold plunges.

And because it falls on Father’s Day weekend, dads and kids get in free.

👋Meet the Makers Bringing Rhinebeck Crafts Festival to Life This June.

One of the best parts of the Rhinebeck Crafts Festival has always been the people behind the booths. Not mass production, not trend-chasing, actual makers who’ve spent years refining a process, a material, or a technique until the work becomes unmistakably their own.

This year’s festival brings more than 165 artists and artisans to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds for a weekend packed with handmade jewelry, ceramics, furniture, fashion, leatherwork, glassblowing, home décor, specialty foods, live demonstrations, and the kind of objects people end up talking about long after they leave.

Inside this carousel:

• — Precision jewelry where organic textures and stonework reveal more detail the longer you study them.

• — Furniture driven by mathematics, geometry, and interference patterns translated directly into wood.

• — Nature-rooted woodwork and wall art built around texture, landscape, and restraint.

• — Molten glass transformed into colorful sculptural work that changes completely in the light.

• — Handmade leather bags and accessories with bold silhouettes and months-long custom craftsmanship.

• — Sculptural clothing with bold silhouettes, texture, and a point of view that instantly stands apart.

• — Handmade fine jewelry in 18k and 22k gold, built with heirloom-level craftsmanship and modern form.

• — Hand-shaped hats that feel architectural, elegant, and deeply personal once they’re on.

• — Traditional hand-bound brooms and brushes built using techniques most people have never seen in person.

For a deeper dive into the makers, the festival, and why this weekend has become one of our favorite Hudson Valley traditions, check out the full feature now on HVHappenings.com.

🥕🍒Kingston Farmers Market: The Saturday Morning Ritual That Actually Delivers

There's something about Saturday morning in Kingston that just works.

The has been the heartbeat of Uptown Kingston since 2000, and after 25 years, it hasn't lost a step. Every Saturday from May through November, over 50 vendors and local farmers take over the County Courthouse parking lot at 285 Wall Street with the kind of produce, dairy, baked goods, and handmade goods that make you wonder why you ever shopped anywhere else.

This isn't a farmers market where half the vendors are selling things that came from somewhere else. These are people who grew it, made it, baked it, or crafted it themselves. You can actually taste the difference. Seasonal asparagus in May. Strawberries and cherries that taste like someone bottled summer in June. Stone fruit so good in July you'll question every peach you've ever eaten. Tomatoes in August that reset your entire baseline for what a tomato should be. Apples in September. Squash and root vegetables as October rolls in. The star of the show changes every few weeks, which means coming back weekly actually feels exciting instead of repetitive.

The food vendors are incredible, but don't sleep on the prepared foods, fresh bakery, and ready-to-eat options. Come hungry. Grab breakfast, lunch, or snacks without leaving the market. Everything is made fresh, everything is local, and the samples alone will convince you to buy things you didn't plan on buying.

Beyond the produce and food, local artisans and crafters set up every week. Handmade soap, wool products, bee products, crafts, and one-of-a-kind finds you won't see anywhere else. The market is as much about supporting makers as it is about supporting farmers.

The market runs rain or shine. Free parking, free entry, no reservation needed. WIC and SNAP are accepted, which means the market actually exists to feed Kingston, not just the people who can already afford fresh food.
