A precautionary boil advisory has been issued for the City of Hugo, due to a water main break. It is advised that consumers of this water system bring the water to a full, rolling boil for at least one minute before drinking, consumption, food preparation, baby formula preparation, dish washing, tooth brushing, ice making, wound care and bathing infants who may ingest bath water. The water main break is being repaired, and lines will be flushed once repairs are made.

Homecoming festivities are underway this weekend in Fort Towson, where much of Choctaw County's history was written in the early 1830s. Fort Towson has incredible history available for public viewing at the Fort's Tourist Center.

This is the Tower Motel located approximately where Kentucky Fried Chicken/Liquor Store is on East Jackson Street in Hugo. Plaza Motel was in 600 Block, where Braums is presently located.

Members of the HHS Class of 1965 will have lots of stories to share as they return to Hugo next week for their 60th class reunion during the 2025 HHS Homecoming & PRCA Rodeo. Most of them will remember Hugo's Plaza Motel that was located where the current BRAUMS Restaurant is located on East Jackson Street in Hugo.
