Per order of Plymouth Superior Court Judge Glenny all votes cast in the May 15th town election (including those between 8 and 10 p.m.) must be counted. Town Meeting continues Wednesday May 3 at 7 p.m. with several important articles left to consider. We hope to finish tonight, but direct democracy can be unpredictable. One thing we can say with certainty is that if it wasn't for electronic voting, which speeds up the process considerably, the meeting might last a week.

After some heated debates and surprising twists and turns last night, Town Meeting continues tonight at 7. Still 20 or so articles to go so we're expecting another long night or two.

REPORT ON STORM PREPARATIONS
1-28-22

Below is a summary of our Departmental activities in preparation for the storm to begin Saturday morning and continue until late Saturday night.

Our staff began preparing on Tuesday for this event, we are ready to respond.

We are being advised to be most concerned with high tide on Saturday evening at 8:48 pm. We are likely to experience some minor to moderate flooding in northeast and north facing locations. Temporary road closures are likely.

Additionally, high winds will cause significant drifting of snow which will lead to some roadway closures and will prolong the clean-up activities.

If the forecast changes, we are prepared to adjust our plans to meet the conditions as necessary.

Chief Russo, our Emergency Management Director, will be actively managing the event response with Deputy Fire Chief Frazier. We are fortunate that Chief Russo and all our staff have many years of experience with these types of events.

On behalf of the members of the Selectboard and all Town employees we want to thank the residents of Hull in advance for their patience during the storm and while we clean-up in the aftermath of the storm.

Historically, Hull residents have shown a remarkable level of resilience and fortitude during storms. Please be assured that your public servants will do all we can to assist during the storm. Conditions are often dangerous and our ability to restore services can at times be complex and protracted; however, we will not stop until the job is done.

We are all proud to serve you. We recognize storm events are very disruptive and cause a great deal of concern. We appreciate your understanding, and we are confident that our 375 year tradition of Hull self-reliance and perseverance will continue for many years to come. Thank you.

No School in Hull Friday January 7 because of the upcoming storm.
Other than the Hull Public Schools, all Town buildings are closed to the public for the next several weeks. Ring the doorbell at each location and a staff member will meet you. Staff is also still available by phone and email. Visit www.town.hull.ma.us for contact info. A drop-off box for bill payments is available in front of Town Hall.
EMERGENCY GENERATOR TESTING 3:00 pm FRIDAY, DECEMBER 17th

Tomorrow (Friday 12/17/21) we will be testing the Town’s Emergency Generators at 3:00 pm. The test will take approximately 1 hr. We will be taking the power down to the entire town cycling the generators on and off to ensure they work correctly. You will experience loss of power intermittently while testing is occurring. Please turn off any sensitive equipment prior to the test, this would include computers, televisions and other electronic devices.

The generators are in place to power the entire Town in the event National Grid’s electric supply lines that feed the Town fail. We apologize for any inconvenience but it is important the generator system be fully tested to assure we are ready in the event of a power interruption. Thank you
