gin, or a well-seasoned veteran looking for a creative wall to bounce ideas off, we provide quality editing, design and publishing necessary to achieve your goals. WILD BADGER BOOKS, an imprint of Raw Earth Ink, produces stunning picture books for both children and nature lovers alike. Founding Editor-in-Chief, artist, and author TARA CARIBOU is a crunchy neo-hippie who flourishes in the wilds of rural Alaska. She allows her love of nature to drive her inspiration and peace. You can find her writing and creating from the heart barefoot on the beach or deep in the woods. Raw Earth Ink is her brainchild and since its inception we have grown & flourished under her mission to treat each authors work with a personal touch & determination to bring their beautiful work to life. Our catalog is extensive, varied & featuring some extraordinary, award-winning contemporary artists, poets and authors. We submit author's book's to Pushcart & run prizes each year. Submit your work to us; Raw Earth Ink is not a vanity-press, we are a hybrid micro-publisher who selects a number of titles every year for our impressive catalog: https://raw-earth-ink.com/
Created in 2019 in order to create a place where it is less about the publisher making money and more about giving opportunity to indie authors to see their work in print with a high quality product without draining the author dry. One where the publisher works as a team with the author, rather than as the boss. Raw Earth Ink Editor-in-Chief, Tara Caribou wanted to create a place for new authors to be discovered by new readers, without taking a lot of their money. As such, Raw Earth Ink operates as a hybrid publisher, charging minimally, typically less than $200 per book, to cover the cost of the ISBNs, editing, proofing, formatting, graphic design, and advertising. All copyright belongs to the author, there are no minimum or maximum purchases, nor hidden fees or requirements. HIGH royalties are paid out to the author, rather than being kept by the publisher. Raw Earth Ink provides these services:

book cover creation
logo design
business card design
high quality book publishing
proofreading (limited availability)
editing (line editing/syntax & form/detailed editing upon request)
interior formatting review

Raw Earth Ink accepts submissions for: short story collections, novels, novellas, poetry collections, art/photography books. *Currently Not Accepting: horror genre, ‘romance’ genre. **Children’s books and non-fiction can be sent to our imprint, Wild Badger Books. Cut Off Your Credit / visual political poetry by Russell Evans
This is an incredible graphic-political-poetry collection
UK-based poet and artist Russell Evans tackles the tough issues surrounding lived communal trauma, extreme poverty, loss of self and loved ones, and the abandonment of community. When words fail, pictures move in to communicate, and when art loses its way, poetry arises.

NEW RELEASE!
The Jackknife Tavern / prose poetry by Braeden Michaels

Veteran poet Braeden Michaels releases his eighth collection of prose poetry. At the Jackknife Tavern sits a man, drinking his loss of love away. Beside him come and go a myriad of faces: friends and neighbors, acquaintances, co-workers…each with their own story to tell. The poet remains on his barstool, taking notes and creating art from life.

NEW RELEASE!
A Place of Forgetting / poetry by CG Tenpenny

Poet, multi-instrumentalist, and singer-songwriter CG Tenpenny shares two versions of the past: a personal past haunted by loss and an idealized antiquity where the lines between myth and history are blurred. A past where Viking warriors roar against the darkness of Ragnarök, Queen Mab offers blood pacts, Olympian tortures reign, and Tiamat whispers threats. There is a craving for peace through loss of self, a desire to melt into woods or be annihilated in a spinning dance outside of time. Like many of us, Tenpenny feels displaced in a mechanical, post-industrial world, and seems to long for a past where redemption and salvation are found.

Where to buy: in paperback at Barnes & Noble and Amazon; and as an eBook at Kindle. Goodreads.
