It's steam pot season. Its getting cold which means the house is getting dry. My favorite was to bring humidity into the house and make it smell amazing is a good ole fashion steam Pot. This one is apples, oranges, cinnamon sticks, and cloves. Makes the house smell like fall.

2025 has been a year I won't forget anytime soon. This year I have attended one too many funerals of people who mattered in my life. Including my own father. I had my dad for 32 years and I wish I had gotten more. But this isnt good bye. It's just see ya later. My dad was a child of God and I know he will be waiting for me with open arms when im finally called home.

I have been absent from social media for most of the year as I sort through life with two children with a significant age gap. Its been amazing, but come with challenges. On top of that, a friend and I have struggled all year to start a local homeschool co-op which has also been a challenge and a half. I stepped down from leadership after my father passed in September to refocus on family. Thanks to an amazing foundation and God sent women the co-op is finally running.

2025 you have kicked my butt throughly. But my God is stronger and we will prevail.

Women have only been in the workforce at 40% and above since the 1970s. Compulsory education has only existed in all states since 1918. Call me old fashion, but life was simpler, and common sense actually existed when women raised their babies and didn't co-parent with the government. 🤷‍♀️

Love can not be taught in a day. I love my children and would sacrifice my life for them without hesitation. But when Emma asks, "Who do you love more, me or Dad?" my answer is always, "Dad." Without Jordan, she doesn't exist. The love Jordan and I share is one that few experience—truly. The love I have for my mother and father is a love that has sprouted from 32 years of existence, of gratitude and respect. The love for my child is as if my heart is walking around without me. They literally took pieces of me while they grew inside me. That’s a bond I will never share with anyone else.

Love is complicated, messy, frustrating, and maddening. It can make or break your entire existence. But learn this, dear reader: we love because God loved us first.
