Busy mom hack for voting in the 2026 primary election:
• Describe yourself and what you care most about to an AI LLM like Claude or ChatGPT.
• Ask AI to ask you questions about your values, what you believe in, and the future you envision for all to ultimately help determine who you should vote for in each category
• Use the answers as a starting point to do a little more digging if you want to.

VOTE BEFORE JUNE 2nd!!! You can do this.

Extra credit:
Talk to your kids about the importance of using their voice and voting. Use easy language and very simple concepts that fit their age. Ex. I told my 5 year old I was choosing the next boss for California and I want to choose the most helpful person who cares about all families getting the care they need to be healthy and happy.

I remember sobbing to a social worker and a nurse— begging them not to let us leave the hospital—when my first was born. I felt so unqualified to be a mom. I was definitely going to f*ck this up. And here we are five years and one more kid later. F*cking up on the daily. Learning more about love every time. Grateful for the good, bad, and stinky.

Happy Mother’s Day to all moms. In all the stages. May you find lots of grace, grit, and goodness on this crazy journey 💕.

…because I had to be.

Because of a covid pregnancy.
Because of the NICU.
Because of lack of feeding support.
Because of postpartum depression and anxiety.
Because of losing my job on mat leave.
Because of postpartum health complications.
Because no one listened to me for 11 weeks while my baby suffered.
Because of my dreams turning into nightmares.
Because of the childcare crisis.
Because books are being banned.
Because my current city council is f*cked.
Because it turns out motherhood is political.
Because I wasn’t alone, but felt alone.
