I've come to the decision to stop doing weddings after the end of this year. I will also be taking no more bookings for weddings effective today. After suffering the damaging effects of Covid-19 halting weddings and most other DJ functions, I was thrown into a world where 95% of the people that call me for events expect me to do it cheaper than before 2020. I show up to a wedding with around $30k in the back of my pickup and I must make a decent profit in order to maintain that equipment. Cables prices have doubled, mixers, speakers, lights around 50% increase, I cannot offer quality services for less than what I currently charge unless I downgrade equipment substantially. It was fun while it lasted but I can't be the only trade that isn't allowed to raise prices after crippling inflation. Huge thank you to all my loyal customers over the years that have not only used my services but recommended me to others. I'll still be doing karaoke, events, private parties and more - just no more weddings.
