One more for the late Brian Howe on what should have been his 73rd bday. When I 1st heard him singing with Ted Nugent, I thought to myself, "He sounds like a cross between Lou Gramm of Foreigner & Paul Rodgers of Bad Co." Well, just a couple of years later, he actually WAS the singer for Bad Company. And despite Paul being my favorite singer, it didn't bother me at all. Perhaps because I had Paul singing with the Firm, and now I could have my Bad Co fix, too. Well, regardless, their big hit came with this one. Hard rock ballads were in vogue and so were love songs being dedicated between the U.S. (and allied countries) to the troops stationed in Desert Storm. This was one of those songs.

Remembering the golden voice of Brian Howe (1953-2020) on his bday. He 1st came to my attention singing on Ted Nugent's Penetrator album, a major departure for Ted, & his attempt to remain relevant after we left the '70s behind. Journey had Steve Perry, Jefferson Starship now had Mickey Thomas, Foreigner already had Lou Gramm, so Ted turned to Brian to update his sound. Also backed by Billy Squier's band including massive synthesizers from Alan St. John. Mostly, a great album & worth a listen.
