As we mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks this week, I want to take a moment to remember Dr. Paul Ambrose of Huntington, West Virginia.

A graduate of Marshall University, Dr. Ambrose went on to serve at the Office of the Surgeon General, dedicating his career to improving the health and well-being of others. On September 11, 2001, he was aboard Flight 77 when it was deliberately flown into the Pentagon.

May we never forget Dr. Ambrose and all the other innocent lives lost that day, as well as the countless families and communities forever changed by an act of pure evil.
