📅 Friday, November 7, 2025: Severe Weather Update ⛈️
A SLIGHT RISK (level 2/5) has been placed across much of Middle Tennessee and Northwest Alabama.

A MARGINAL RISK (level 1/5) covers the rest of North Alabama, the rest of Middle Tennessee, much of East Tennessee, all of Northwest Georgia, and extends to the Northwest side of Metro Atlanta.

🚨 Key Information & Threats

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is still three days out, so things will likely change. Please stay tuned for updates.

Main Threats Include:

💨 Damaging winds

🧊 Possible hail

🌪️ An isolated tornado

📰 Forecaster Rationale (from SPC)

The key uncertainty for forecasters is the degree of atmospheric destabilization:

"How intense and widespread the severe threat may become will largely depend on the degree of destabilization early."

The setup across the region (south central Kentucky to the Tennessee Valley) favors organized storms:

"This corridor should have a better opportunity for weak to modest destabilization, where strong deep-layer shear and hodographs would favor supercells."

Who’s ready for winter??????

A few light snow showers and flurries are possible across Tennessee, north Alabama, north Georgia, upstate South Carolina and western North Carolina behind the Arctic cold front late Sunday into Monday. Accumulations are not expected outside of the mountains - the Smokies could see a few inches, if not more❄️🌨️
