Worden, MT.
As of 5pm Saturday, October 4, MT Highway Patrol, Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office, and Fish, Wildlife, and Parks Wardens are searching for an individual involved in a high speed chase. The chase ended at Voyagers Fishing Access north of Worden, where the individual drove into the Yellowstone River before abandoning the vehicle and swimming to the north shore. According to Sheriff Mike Linder, the individual is still at large. Jet boats, ground crews, and drone operators are searching the area. Linder advises those in the area to be on the lookout for a Deacon Johnson, around 20 years of age, 5'9", blue jeans, black long sleeve with a yellow oval emblem on the back. Call 911 if sighted. MTHP does not believe he is armed. Will have updates in this weeks Yellowstone County News.

If anyone is getting any unexpected charges from Yellowstone County News through Chase bank, it is likely a charge from Yellowstone County for vehicle registration or tax payments. Chase Bank and/or Yellowstone County has been mislabeling these charges as Yellowstone County News. We've talked to the county about it last week and hopefully it is getting fixed. Feel free to call our office 406-348-2650 with any questions. Thank you for attention to this matter.

It was announced previously in the Yellowstone County News, but there is NO Dig It Days 2025 at MontanaFair. Now that they have the new outdoor rodeo arena and need the space, we will look for a permanent location for our Dig It Days in the future. Thank you to all those who have reached out and asked as well as all the sponsors, kids, families and volunteers. We look forward to the next Dig It Days!

Correction:
In the April 18th Printed Edition, Seth Katolas was listed as a representative for Spectrum in the “Fabricated Bore-Logs Cause HPID to Issue Spectrum Work Stoppage” story. Seth Katolas is a representative for Nemont. Katolas, Vantage Point contractor for Nemont, was petitioning the Huntley Project Irrigation District for an easement to install Nemont service lines to Huntley Project Museum, Homesteader Hall, and MSUB Experiment Station. YCN Regrets the error. Here's a link to the full corrected story.
