🏀 SPORTSMED ARENA: A big donation from SportsMED means a new name for the UAH gymnasium at Spraghins Hall.

A $1.3 million pledge from SportsMED means that UAH basketball and volleyball will be played at SportsMED Arena at Spragins Hall.

We visited Patterson Place (), a local nonprofit where adults with intellectual + developmental disabilities create a variety of handmade items sold at markets across North Alabama. Come see their work in person at their upcoming Open House on Dec. 12  from 10AM-6PM!

Here’s what makes it special 👇

⭐️ Every item is made with care, pride + a whole lot of heart ❤️
⭐️ Proceeds help fund programs that empower each citizen’s potential

🌴 BEACH, ANYONE? HSV will soon offer non-stop flights to Gulf Shores!

Just in time for beach season next spring, HSV will offer non-stop flights to Gulf Shores.

✈️ HSV TO GULF SHORES: Been wanting a faster way to get to the beach? The wait is over — Allegiant will launch nonstop flights from Huntsville International Airport to Gulf Shores International Airport starting May 21, 2026.

⭐️ This will be Alabama’s only intrastate commercial non-stop flight between two Alabama cities.
💲 One-way introductory fares start as low as $39 (seats + dates are limited).
📅 To lock in that fare, flights must be purchased by November 19, 2025 for travel through August 18, 2026.
🧑‍💻 Flight days, times + fares can be found on the Allegiant website.

Allegiant will also offer new nonstop flights from HSV to:
📍Fort Lauderdale, FL — starting November 19, 2025.
📍St. Petersburg (St. Pete–Clearwater), FL — starting March 5, 2026.
📍Sanford/Orlando, FL — starting February 12, 2026.
