Your Temperature and Radar Check-Up At The 12 PM Hour Frame Shows Scattered Light Showers Along and West of I-65, with slightly warmer temperatures in the mid to upper 80s. Meanwhile, those east of I-65 are experiencing more widespread, heavier downpours, resulting in slightly cooler temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. The rest of this afternoon will continue with shower and thunderstorm activity, with our main threats being heavy downpours, localized flash flooding, and an occasional flash of lightning before becoming mostly cloudy across much of the coverage vicinity while staying fairly mild but still warm. Rain chances will continue to remain within the 40-70% range through the next 2 days as a system will persist through the TN-Valley, bringing the localized threat for localized flash flooding once more. Temperatures will also stay regularly warm in the upper 80s and lower 90s with heat indices possibly in the upper 90s and lower 100s. Be sure to keep an umbrella on hand and to drink plenty of water while taking breaks throughout the day to make sure you avoid heat-related illnesses!
