(A CAUTION WEATHER MODE DAY IS IN PLACE FOR YOUR WEDNESDAY)

Showers and thunderstorms will continue through your morning commute as the first round of rain and storms pushes through. The SPC currently has portions of Northern Alabama in a level 1 out of 5 Marginal risk for the threat of scattered stronger to severe thunderstorms mainly by this afternoon! Our second round of storms, starting by lunch time or 12 o'clock through 9PM, will be the heaviest with our main threats being damaging winds near 60 MPH, small hail at 1 inch, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall, which will likely cause flash flooding in localized areas. In between all of the rain and storms, we are expected to warm up into the mid to upper 80s by lunchtime, leaving us feeling warm, wet, and muggy! Be sure you have an umbrella on hand to keep yourself dry and stay weather aware!
