Congratulations Billy Cauthen!

We are pleased to introduce Mr. Billy Cauthen as the new Chairman of Josey Lodge.

A native of Huntsville, Billy grew up in Josey Lodge as a Cub Scout and later as a member of Scouting America Troop 114. He is married with three children, one of whom is an Eagle Scout and the 2024 Robert A. Josey Outstanding Scout. Professionally, Billy is the Director of Operations at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home.

For Billy, serving others is a calling that runs soul-deep and he has a long history of volunteerism. In Scouting, he has served in multiple roles, including a long tenure as the Scoutmaster of Scouting America Troop 98. In addition to Scouting, he is a volunteer firefighter with the Crabbs Prairie Volunteer Fire Department, an active member of Christ the King Methodist Church, and volunteers in several other community service organizations.

Karla has shifted into a Trustee role, and will continue to organize the Josey Award selections, the Josey Banquet, and Chilly at the Lodge along with several other behind-the-scenes tasks. She is very much looking forward to supporting Billy in his leadership and, more broadly, continuing to serve local Scouts and Scouting.
