Filming a storm surge /post hurricane scene, add a green screen/blue screen/black for night, shine a search light down that moves a bit & lower a winch cable and you've got a helicopter rescue, in a controlled environment and the school gets a fee.

After repeated false starts. We are finally in reach of calling it "open." Yes, still some sets to build and other things. But I'll have photos up soon of the finished classroom. Office. Hospital room sets among other features of Studio Huntsville. If it can go as planned, I do intend to host an open house/kickoff soon after. Stay tuned!
Sadly. Renovating an old building was not the best plan. You run into many unseen issues.

More has been completed since this video a few days ago but want to update folks that are interested. I'm very much hoping I can help grow the frequency of filming in Huntsville and the surrounding area by offering this soundstage and standing sets. I'm working very hard to have everything mostly finished by the 31st of December. I will plan to have an open house in January or very early February.

Slow but forward progress on set walls. Working hard to be fully open by year end. New 21 ft volume wall installed last week!
