This is what nobody tells you⬇️

Every task you do for your child, that they could do for themselves, is a withdrawal from their confidence and a deposit into your exhaustion.

Both of you lose.

There is a shift happening in homes across the country.
Parents are waking up to something.

Their children are more capable than they have been allowed to be.

And it is time to change that.

It does not have to happen all at once.

One task.
Taught slowly.
Supported fully.
Then handed off completely.

Like scaffolding. I support (and do) while they learn…

I do 90% of a task, my child does 10%.
Then the shift happens - I do 75% and my child does 25%.
And their confidence grows- I do 40% and my child does 60%.
Then I do 10% and my child goes on with the 90%.
And then, I finally hand that task over to them.

It is theirs now.
——

✨Because on the other side of that process?

What once lived in my head now holds in their capable hands.

A child who knows they are capable, and are now more confident.

A mom whose mornings finally move without me managing, remembering and reminding every piece.

A home that does not fall apart when I stop scrambling to do everything.

That is what this work actually builds.

❤️You can do it…. Your children are ready.

❔not sure where to start?
I built a list for you.

35 areas where you are currently carrying the load that you’re home and your children are completely ready to hold itself.

comment 35 and I will send it straight to you.

Your quiet mind is closer than you think!

Do THIS when someone reaches out ⬇️

In a world that glamorizes hustle and busy (!!) the best, most precious thing you can give any person is… your attention.

So when a friend reaches out about an event, a fundraiser or shares a vulnerable update- respond to them. And (because I’m being honest) do it promptly.

It can be hard to ask.

But Jamie, does it have to be a paragraph long? No. (But you can)

Do you have to donate $1000? No. (But you can)

Do we have to donate $10? No. (But you can)

Being on this end (the inviting/asking/educating end) I wonder if folks just don’t know what to say??

And I get that- it can be hard!

(Maybe I should do a post on phrases and ways to respond when someone reaches out? Maybe? )

🚨So, please, keep in the front of your mind that this friend… she is stretching out from her comfort zone because this is *very* important to her…

🤍Every email, every text is putting her into a corner of her brain she intentionally avoids. 🤍

Because the reality is:
There are moments that are scary
There are moments that are sad
There are moments that are frustrating
And there are moments that are lonely

❤️So give her your attention, answer what she is asking, donate if/when you can and cheer for her.

Because that is what community does.

Rule of thumb: Respond how you would want someone to respond to YOU.

That’s how a village shows up and how the world is made better… when we see and love on people around us!

“A rising tide lifts all boats” - John F. Kennedy

You’re not tired because life is chaotic. 🤯

You were tired because your brain never closes.

The email opened at the red light…
The backpack on the floor…
The medication you need to refill…

Open loops.

And when you’re home runs on your memory, your head is in a million places at once.

That mental tracking…
That’s what’s draining you.

comment: WORKSHOP for more details on my upcoming live event…..

Where I’m breaking down how to regularly close those loops – and the 3specific areas of your home to design so things stop living in your head.

Not more hustle.
Not more discipline

A blueprint.

So life is truly calmer – not just managed.

Your medical Mom friend,
Jamie

She didn’t wait for an adult to handle it. 🫂

My daughter is 4 and today she walked into a room of older children, and teachers, to check on someone who *might* have been sad.

No prompting.
No hesitation.

That confidence didn’t start at school.
It started at home.

When children are trusted with responsibility – with their backpacks, their clothes, handle their own needs- they start trusting themselves.

And children who trust themselves don’t wait to be told.

They step in.
They help.
They lead.

And these little hands are the pebbles - dropped in the pond that ripple out to make our community, and world, better.

SAVE this for when you tell you tell yourself “I could do this so much faster if I did it myself” ❤️

There is value in the waiting and empowering.

Cheering you on,
Jamie

Why don’t more people talk about self care like this?⬇️

I’m walking out of my exercise class —
the first act of self-care today.

And yes — movement matters.
But this isn’t the only WAY self-care presents itself.

Everyday you have items pulling for your time:

🪙Emails waiting for replies.
🪙Dinner that needs to be prepared
🪙Homework to stay on top of.

Decisions stacked on decisions.

So how do you stop over-extending yourself?

💡Balance your time like you do your budget 💡

Real self-care isn’t a one-time act.

💡Think of self care as regular *deposits* into your daily account that you draw from *all day long*.

You don’t put money in once and expect it to last forever.

✨You build reserves — because you know withdrawals are coming.

And in motherhood?
Withdrawals happen constantly.

Daily self-care inputs can look like:
• Few decisions
• Predictable rhythms that carry the day
• Children who carry their own load — because they are capable.

Self care is planned, intentional actions that fill up that account.

❤️And, in my mind, being present with my husband and children - that is what it means to be a Time-Rich Mom.

If you’re ready to stop overdrafting your days
and start consistently being ready, not reactive. —

You’re exactly why this account exists.

This Fixed My Overwhelming To-Do List 💡

I used to move from one task to the next with no real end in sight?

Wake up. Clean. Make meals. Appointments. Laundry. More laundry. More cleaning. Repeat.

Before I learned how to budget my time, I felt like I was spinning my wheels every single day. But when I started using small, repeatable habits, everything changed.

Now? My home is easier to manage. My days feel lighter. And my stress? Way lower.

That’s exactly what I want for you, too.

I put together the Stress-Free Boosters Checklist—a simple, no-fluff guide with quick, practical habits that help you:
✔️ Spend less time stressing over messes.
✔️ Build simple routines that stick.
✔️ Finally feel in control of your day.

Motherhood shouldn’t feel like we're in survival mode.

📩 Comment “CHECKLIST” below, and I’ll send it to you now!

Make sure you follow first so you don’t miss my DM!
