Priority One students worked hard this semester designing campaigns and outreach strategies for and .texas.
We had the privilege of working with Tracy Chappell of Huntsville Tourism to create a strategic campaign to promote the arts and culture scene here in Huntsville. We analyzed their current efforts and explored how other communities have approached the issue. We created promotional materials, curated lists of important community and media partners, and laid out a timeline for promotion. Finally, we pitched strategies to build brand identity, launch public-facing tactics, and sustain long-term engagement for Huntsville’s arts scene.
At the same time, we were also thrilled to work with Shirley Guzman, the representative of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for the Southeast Texas region. Following an in-depth analysis of prior work from MADD and other similarly oriented organizations, we developed strategies to promote their message to college students. Our team proposed new social media tactics, college campus events, and a brand-new student organization program.
We loved working with both organizations and are confident that they will succeed in their communication goals. Priority One will continue to support these organizations in achieving those goals.
During our time running Priority One this semester, we learned a lot about putting strategic communications into practice. We’ll be bringing that knowledge and experience with us into our careers. Spring 2026, signing off!
