Huntsville Madison County Public Library’s Blast Music is celebrating five years of showcasing local music - and submissions are now open for the next round of featured artists!

Musicians and bands from across North Alabama can submit their music for consideration through September 30. Selected artists retain ownership of their music and receive a $300 honorarium for each album accepted into the collection.

🎤 All genres welcome
🎵 Up to 50 artists or bands selected
💰 $300 honorarium for accepted albums
📅 Submit by September 30

North Alabama musicians can submit music to HMCPL’s Blast Music platform Sept. 1–30, 2026, for a chance to join the local streaming collection.

🎄✨ The Huntsville Christmas Parade is BACK December 1!

This year’s theme is officially “A Rocket City Christmas” 🚀🎅 and registration is now open for businesses, organizations and community groups that want to join the fun!

A few things to know for 2026:
🎄 New parade route due to downtown construction
❤️ Manna House named this year’s nonprofit beneficiary
🎅 VIP Pre-Parade Party moving inside the VBC
🏆 Cash prizes for the top three floats
✨ Grand Marshal announcement coming soon!
