Records are permanent y’all. Our streams and playlists exist at the whims of oligarchs and tech bros. That subscription you’re paying for could evaporate tomorrow if the company is sold or goes under. Your favorite album could disappear this afternoon for a thousand different reasons.

I love Spotify and I use it all the time, but the music I love? I own it. Permanently.

These songs are the soundtracks of our lives, and I intend to share mine with my grandkids and pass them down to my great grandchildren.

And *that* is the true magic of vinyl. No black boxes. No codecs, no EULA, no software patches, no third party gatekeeping my permission to enjoy my own music.

If every turntable on planet Earth died tonight you could make your own if you had to.

Maybe that’s why we do this. Because we love music, and we love people and mostly we love people who love music the way we do.
