I’ve tried a few editing apps over the years, but there’s ONE that has officially become my go-to:

📱 CapCut → My current favorite. Great for everything from simple cuts and captions to more detailed, creative edits. This is where I edit now.

🎬 VN → One I’ve used in the past and still recommend if you want more control over your timeline, layers and transitions.

✨ Inshot→ A solid option for beginners or anyone who wants to make quick, clean edits without feeling overwhelmed by too many features.

But here’s the thing: the app doesn’t make the edit good. Knowing what to cut, how to pace your content and how to keep people watching does.

That’s the part I love. And if you have the footage but editing keeps getting pushed to the bottom of your list, Reels by Kenny offers editing services to take it off your plate. 🎥

I never want a client to pay me to figure it out on them.

So when I want to try something new, I practice first. I call a friend, bring my camera and give myself permission to get it wrong before someone is paying me to get it right.

This shoot taught me a LOT 😂 but more than anything, it reminded me why I do this. My clients trust me with their businesses, and I don’t take that lightly.

I filmed this trial session a year ago and now a year later, hairstylists + beauty professionals are officially on my service list. 🥹💕

Sometimes the difference between content that looks “okay” and content that looks intentional is simply knowing how to frame the shot.

During my brainstorm calls, we don’t just talk about what you should create. We can talk through the little things too, like framing, negative space and leaving room for your overlays.

One thing I’ve learned in business: confidence comes from doing the work.

Before I charge someone for a service, I want to know I can deliver something I’m proud of.

So I practice. I test. I learn what I don’t know yet. And THEN…the price is the price. 😂

This shoot reminded me that every client requires something different from me—and being willing to learn is part of what makes me better.
