Another hooding ceremony in the books! This evening, I had the opportunity to hang out with some of my wonderful colleagues from Marshall University AND to see some of our soon-to-be graduates receive their Master’s hoods ahead of this Saturday’s commencement ceremony.

It’s wild when I see people so pressed about complete strangers not having/wanting children. And let’s be honest… the comments are usually about childfree *women* specifically. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Guess what? A person (even a woman!) can be complete without having children. If you want children, great - have as many as you’d like! ☺️

Outside of that, mind your business. I promise that other people’s choices for their own lives have absolutely no impact on you. 🫶🏼

Marshall University students didn’t disappoint in putting together this event - wow! The 4 couples that competed were all AMAZING, the judges knew their stuff (and were also hilarious), and overall it was truly a ton of fun.

The big winners were President Brad and First Lady Alys Smith, but the Crowd’s Choice Award went to Director of Athletics Gerald Harrison and his wife, Lisa!
