Your Hutto Firefighters, as well as other first responders and Hutto ISD, were involved in several remembrance programs from the tragedy of 9-11-2001. From the Power Breakfast and memorial march on 9/11 to stair climb on 9/14, it is important that we NEVER FORGET! And your Hutto Firefighters will always be out front making sure that does not happen. God Bless Texas and United States of America. Stay safe.

The men and women of Hutto Fire Rescue are entrusted to serve and protect all members of the community with professionalism, integrity, and respect. Any actions or words that undermine that trust, or promote division or insensitivity are taken very seriously.

We immediately launched an administrative review of this situation, as outlined in our policies and procedures, and will correct it accordingly. Each member of Hutto Fire Rescue swore an oath to protect you, and we do not condone these comments, actions, or anything slightly similar. We remain committed to maintaining your trust and confidence in our service delivery to you.”

On Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the Hutto Power Breakfast, Fire Chief Kerwood and Police Chief Yarbrough will talk about their experiences on that disastrous Tuesday. This past week Driver Operator Mansell along with Firefighters Hernandez, Lopez and Frias attended Chief Rick Lasky’s “Five Alarm Leadership” course, hosted by Leander Fire Department.

The training focused on leadership, pride, and building strong teams in the fire service valuable lessons these members are bringing back to Hutto Fire Rescue.
