🦛📚 Hippo Nation! 🦛📚

School’s almost back in session, so let’s all drive safe out there. Be on the lookout for kids walking, biking, and waiting at bus stops. Don’t forget school zones are back! Our officers will be out helping keep everyone safe.

🎓🚑 Paramedic School Graduates! 🚑🎓

Please help us congratulate Erin Bocanegra, Jesse Reyer, and Grant Petrmichl on graduating from paramedic school!

These three have put in the long hours, faced the challenges head-on, and shown the dedication it takes to serve others at the highest level. Becoming a paramedic isn’t easy—it takes heart, grit, and relentless drive.

We also want to give a heartfelt thank you to their families for the sacrifice, support, and understanding through the long days and nights. Your patience and encouragement made this possible.

(Grant Petrmichl not pictured, but proudly part of this achievement.)

We’re proud of each of you. Now it’s time to hit the streets and keep making a difference.

Firefighter Frias recently wrapped up a solid foundational training that focused on sharpening mindset, fitness, and hands-on skills essential for the job. The program was all about what it means to be “Box Alarm Ready” blending tough workouts, real-world drills, and tactical training to help prepare for the challenges we face on the fireground.

Thank you alamoareafirephotography for the photos

Thank you boxalarmready for a great training opportunity!

This past week, members of Hutto Fire Rescue had the honor of attending Midrise for Marvin in Mansfield, TX — a two-day Truck/Engine Ops training focused on mid-rise tactics, held in memory of Killeen Fire Captain Marvin Taylor, who tragically passed in May.

Lieutenant Eastland served as one of the instructors, while Driver Operator Acosta and Firefighter Frias participated as students.

Throughout the training, attendees gained valuable hands-on experience and sharpened their skills in areas such as:
• Vertical ventilation
• Search techniques
• Ladder splicing & Bangor ladders
• Rooftop rope rescue
• Standpipe operations
• Coupling drops
• Well hole stretches
• Hose hoisting
• Flowing and moving with the Comella

At Hutto Fire Rescue, we understand the importance of continuous training and development. Investing in advanced instruction not only strengthens our team’s readiness but also ensures we’re providing the highest level of service and safety to the Hutto community.
