Yesterday, the Barnstable Police Department swore in three new lateral transfers to join BPD from other police departments. 👮‍♂️

Thank you to these three new officers for joining the Barnstable Police Department to help the Town of Barnstable safe for both residents and visitors! 👏

Barnstable Government Access Service Interruption and Town Council Meeting Update
Barnstable Government Access channels 8, 1070 and 1072 are currently experiencing an outage. The Town’s livestreaming platform as well as streaming applications are also temporarily unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate the community’s patience as we work to resolve the issue.
The May 28, 2026 Town Council meeting will proceed as planned and will be available at 6:00 PM live on Barnstable Government Access’s YouTube Channel.

Members of the public may also attend the meeting in person at Barnstable Town Hall, in the James H. Crocker Jr. Hearing Room, 367 Main Street, Hyannis, 2nd Floor.

Barnstable's Town Offices & Transfer Station are closed this Memorial Day to honor those brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice. 🇺🇸
