Spring is just around the corner!
I received my water bill for the last half of 2017. There is a 33% increase in the base rate which I knew was coming. It's now $81.00, up from $60.00. Unanticipated is the base dropped from 15,000 gallons to 1,000 gallons, at a rate of $3.00 per "extra" 1,000 gallons. So, the new base rate is actually higher than the $81.00 as originally stated. Based on my average use over the last few years, this is roughly a 50% to 60% increase! Can this be right?
