⚠️ 10pm 12/3/25 Update ⚠️

Starting around midnight on 12/4/25 (Thursday) we could see a mix of winter precipitation with freezing drizzle, sleet, and snow are all possible.

There is a lot of uncertainty with this system and a couple of heavy snow bands could set up along the I-40 corridor all throughout western Oklahoma to the OKC metro. The heavy bands could produce up to a couple inches of snow.

There could be a few travel issues through the morning, however, the state has been working on pretreating the roads.
Please be careful if traveling overnight or early in the morning!

Good Monday Morning!
12/1/25

⚠️ Travel to OKC is discouraged! ⚠️
Some schools have canceled today!

From Weatherford to OKC and around the OKC metro, there are multiple accidents and even road/interstate closures due to black ice that has formed on elevated surfaces, such as bridges!

We know of 1 wreck here in western Oklahoma, over by the Hinton area on I-40 that involved multiple vehicles and has temporarily closed down the interstate in both directions. (Witnesses are saying its BAD and could have fatalities 😔 🙏)

Precipitation fell early this morning and stuck to everything elevated from Weatherford to OKC (at least) this has included cars, steps, porches, on/off ramps, and bridges. Roads in Weatherford are looking good, but from Hydro and points east it goes from bad to worse quickly!

Temperatures are in the mid 20's to low 30's across the area, with upper teens to low 20's for windchills! Precipitation is still possible this morning, and again later on this afternoon and evening.

Precipitation amounts look to stay light, however, this morning has proven that it doesn't take much to make a messy situation!

Again, please, do not travel towards OKC this morning if you don't HAVE to! Wait until late morning when solar radiation can help thaw those bridges and emergency crews can get the roads cleaned up.

Some school districts have canceled classes today, so check with your child's school to make sure they're having classes today.

Good Sunday Morning!
(11/30/25)

Grab that winter coat this morning before leaving the house! Actual air temperatures are down in the low to mid 20's with wind chill factor down in the low teens and single digits! (It's cold, and I was not prepared!)

Today's highs will be in the 30's across western Oklahoma, and clouds will be moving in throughout the day. Today will also see a rise in humidity as moisture gets pumped in and preps us for tonight and tomorrow's light winter weather that is possible.

Monday we will have highs in the 30's and a few low 40's around with a chance of light snow and ice. We're really going to be watching Monday morning for the chance of any impactful winter precipitation. This precipitation could come in the form of a freezing drizzle or light (nothing to stress over) freezing rain that could cause a few travel issues on elevated surfaces. A few flurries could be mixed in throughout the day Monday with any snow accumulation being held in far northern Oklahoma.

If anything impactful happens Monday, you can bet that WOW will have your back with road conditions, school closings, power outages, etc! (We're only expecting a couple slick spots at worse case scenario!)

Enjoy your Sunday, and expect an update this evening!

Good Saturday morning!
(11/29/25)

Our cold front continues to march SE through the state (10am location is purple line) and with that, the NW winds are really starting to crank up.

A wind advisory is issued for all the counties highlighted in brown on second picture. Wind gusts could get up near the 50mph range today, with sustained winds in the 20-30mph range! Its going to be windy today!

This cold front is coming through dry, so our radar is pretty quiet this morning.

Temperatures will be in the low to mid 50's this morning, but dropping into the low to mid 40's by this afternoon. Tonight will be downright cold with lows in the high teens to low 20's and blustery winds throughout the overnight hours.

Enjoy your Saturday and stay warm!
