We are so excited to announce the winner of this years East Idaho Mother of the Year!
The Votes were so close we had to mention honorable mention Tabrie Loveland. Tabrie was shown a lot of love and she deserves it! What an awesome example of the rising generation of mothers!
Just squeezing into the lead is an amazing mother to her children and the hundreds of community children she has taught over the years: Joy Taylor!
Joy embodies what this program is all about, she not only raises her children to be amazing community members but she reaches into the homes of so many others to bless and inspire their children as well. Congratulations Joy! and Tabrie!

Mother is an interesting word because it refers to such a broad range of ages. My wife became a mother 3 years ago and my mom is still raising me! That mothering may look different but it all comes from a place of love and sacrifice. Our communities are made stronger because of strong mothers. I know my little family of four falls apart when Ana isn’t feeling great. Imagine what would happen to our community if we lost all our mothers even for a few days. CHAOS!

I think a large chunk of my character and who I am today (the good bits at least😅) are thanks to my mom. I was raised by goodly parents and my mom taught me to trust the lord. I’m so grateful that she took the time to really raise me, and not just be my parent.

A community is only as strong as its mothers and that’s why I wanted to bring honor to my mother and all the mothers in our awesome community by hosting this event again this year. The East Idaho Mother of the Year event is not a competition to find the coolest cat (my mom would win every year) but it’s an opportunity for us all to remember and be grateful for our mothers who make us the people we are.

If you live from Preston to Ashton and you think your mom did a great job raising you, I’d encourage you to submit her name. It doesn’t take long and it gives us all a chance be grateful for the mothers that make East Idaho a great place to live!
