MY SISTER KICKED ME OUT AFTER INHERITING OUR DAD'S HOUSE – EVERYTHING CHANGED WHEN I FOUND AN ENVELOPE AT OUR FAMILY'S APIARY.
My life fell apart in a single day. I lost my job in the morning, came home to find my boyfriend leaving me for a more "successful" woman, and then got the call — "Your father is dead. Please come to the funeral."
I drove to my family home, where my adoptive sister, Synthia, was already waiting. She never let me forget I wasn't really her sister. After the funeral, the lawyer read the will — Synthia inherited everything except the apiary, which went to me. She sneered. "I hope you realize you're not living in my house."
I had nowhere to go. She smirked. "Sleep in the barn if you want."
With nothing left, I threw myself into the apiary. Greg, my father's old beekeeper, agreed to help — mockingly at first. But over time, the bees became my purpose.
Then, one evening, I returned home to flames. The barn was gone, but the apiary had survived. While checking the hives, I noticed something — an envelope tucked inside one of the boxes.
It was addressed to me. On the front, in familiar handwriting, were the words: "For Adele."
