Friends, colleagues, and neighbors across our Lower Columbia communities — sending prayers and deep concern in the wake of the tragic chemical plant incident in Longview.

Praying for the victims, their families, first responders, medical teams, and all who are waiting anxiously for news tonight. In moments like this, entire communities feel the shock together.

May we hold one another close, check on neighbors and coworkers, and remember how fragile and precious life truly is.

Hoping all of you and your people are safe. Pastor Lydia 🙏

What happens when retirement becomes more than an escape plan? Meet our guest Keith Forsyth.

In this episode of Coping Live Talk, we explore the deeper side of moving abroad, slowing down, and starting over in a new country.
What does “home” mean later in life?
Can reinvention happen at any age?
What are we really searching for when we begin again?

We talk honestly about aging, identity, community, culture shock, freedom, and the emotional reality behind the dream of retirement overseas.
Join us for a thoughtful conversation about change, purpose, and learning how to live differently in a noisy world.

We started Coping Live Talk in 2020, when the world was trying to cope. But coping is not where the story ends.
After more than 100 conversations, we paused—and now we are beginning again. A short conversation about what is shifting and what’s coming next.
Tuesdays — conversations with us
Thursdays — guest stories

Later today…

What did you have to unlearn in your life?
Some things once made sense.
Some even protected us.
But not everything we carry still belongs to us.
Tonight on CoPing Live, we’ll talk about letting go, learning again, and what it means to live beyond the open tomb.

Almost forgot to ask...

What did you have to unlearn in your life?

Not everything we carry still belongs to us.

Tomorrow on CoPing Live, we’re talking about
what it means to let go—and what comes after.

I never thought I would read in America about detainees in “Alligator Alcatraz” facing treatment that reads like a page torn from my childhood memories of Soviet gulags.

My mother used to warn me:
“Не плюй в колодец — пригодится водицы напиться.” — Don’t spit into the well—you may need that water someday.

A society that mistreats the most vulnerable is poisoning its own well.
The water will come back to us.
And Scripture never lets us pretend otherwise.

So we hold our communities close, pray for courage, and choose not to look away.
Justice is not a political stance—it is a spiritual posture.
And silence in the face of suffering is never the way of Christ.
