With many Hallmark movie moments, including a surprise proposal in front of the newly lit Christmas tree, free hot chocolate, and a magical parade, the Indiana community attests to festive feelings in our article, “Like a Hallmark movie.”

This morning, members of the Indiana community lined Philadelphia Street to honor and celebrate Veterans Day. The American Legion Veterans Day parade began at 10:45 a.m. and featured different floats from local organizations. The parade also spotlighted Operation Green Light, an initiative to help honor the sacrifices veterans have made for our nation.

As the federal holiday is observed, expect a recap of today’s events to be published on our website, thepenn.org.

In this week’s installation of Artistic Perspectives, our images will showcase tattoos and how they portray the lives of those who have them. Many people take time to honor a family member or recall a fond memory of their life through the tattoos they choose to have. This week, we ask some IUP students what tattoos they have and to explain the meaning behind the ink.
