Congratulations to Program Director Riley Yonchiuk, who was recently elected to serve as the sole Student Representative on the CBI board for the 2025-2026 academic year!

CBI (College Broadcasters Incorporated) is an international organization connecting broadcasting students and advisors to share resources, and work to ensure the strength and endurance of student media at the high school and collegiate levels. We know Riley is going to represent WIUP well, and will be a great asset to the organization!

We are grateful for 's support of WIUP this semester! Their newly renovated space at 990 Oakland Avenue is open daily for breakfast, with a coffee bar open all day long, plus complimentary wifi - great for study sessions and lunch meetings. They also serve subs, salads, pasta, and of course, a variety of classic and artisan pizzas. And they sell by the slice for when you're in a rush, or just need a quick fix. We've been digging through The Penn's archives - a true treasure trove of campus history! We couldn't resist sharing this ad from when a Bare Trees era Fleetwood Mac (pre-Buckingham/Nicks) played on campus! Cost was a whopping $3 in advance, $4 at the door.

Wow, did October fly by! We're thrilled that so many of our alumni were able to make the 55th reunion over homecoming weekend - it was a really special day that spoke to the ongoing and growing community that WIUP fosters for its students and alumni. And we've got a lot of great ideas in the works for being more engaged with our alumni throughout the year - stay tuned for that.

Join WIUP at The Artists Hand Gallery & Espresso Bar from 6-8pm on November 8th for Open Mic Night! From singing, playing an instrument, reading poetry, and more. It's the final day of our fund drive!

It's been a great weekend so far, including our College Radio Day marathon, appearances from many WIUP alumni, special live editions of The Soul Show and Jazzish, and an in-studio performance from Missing Signs!

More surprises are on the way, but one thing we know for sure is that we still need help to reach our fundraising goal.
