Impact in Every Seed: TCU x Go Green Movement 🌳

On May 10th, 2026, the TCU Chapter at the University of Nairobi, in partnership with the Go Green Movement, took a decisive step toward a sustainable future at Karimenu Dam.

Thanks to the incredible energy of our student volunteers, we successfully planted over 2,500 indigenous trees.

This exercise wasn’t just about putting roots in the ground; it was about securing our water sources and protecting the biodiversity of the Karimenu watershed while advancing our community development and volunteerism amongst our students.

“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”

A huge thank you to every volunteer who swapped their pens for shovels this weekend. Together, we are growing a greener, more sustainable Kenya. 🇰🇪

Excellent work, Haramaya. The standard has been set.

Frantz Fanon was a French speaking Martinican from the Carribbean island of Martinique. He was psychiatrist and revolutionary whose work provides the definitive psychological map of the colonial condition. He served as a pivotal figure in the Algerian War of Independence, documenting the deep-seated trauma of oppression and the necessity of total mental liberation. His seminal works, Black Skin, White Masks and The Wretched of the Earth, are foundational texts for dismantling systemic alienation and achieving psychological sovereignty. In recognition of their enduring intellectual power, both titles are featured as essential pillars of the official True Culture University (TCU) reading list.
