Call it “fake-Spring” of whatever you want,
and don’t get me wrong, we are down to explore in most weather,
But these days of SUN 🌞,
listening to the birds,
Spring —
feels a bit like hope,
Or maybe it’s a just little bit easier to refill,
To find the hope
Natures music is a bit easier to hear,
It feels like we can swing higher
and lighter,
The promise of things becoming,
Blooming at their right time,
Spring

Well, all of that to say—
get TF outside and just be,
especiallyyyyy if you’re overwhelmed, sad, grumpy….
**Put the phone down**
& just walk yourself outside.
And maybe find a swing too. ✨ 💚

A random gathering of photos in existence on our devices showcasing our love for the moon and what it has meant to adventure in the name of it this year, encouraged by the support of ’s Kids Moon Club.

This past year, one thing we have really loved is walking thru the year with the moon. Talking about the moon, its phases, the world around it as the seasons change, likening some of those changes and phases to our own selves and the creatures we found ourselves around.

Chasing the moon and also celebrating it where we were as we were, so to speak. 🌙

Aside from encouraging us to get outside no matter the time of year and celebrate natural cycles, that always inevitably reflect similar cycles we can find belonging and meaning in,
I have loved how making our own phenology wheel — see some of our drawings in the last slide — which we would do at the end of each cycle, helped us make our own scrapbook of drawings & memories from the year. A priceless keepsake from this year with the moon together.

From herons and gators in the gulf, cornfields + deer, Garfield+moon shadows — the adventures we have had in the name of dancing under and celebrating the moon — they are something we will always cherish.

We loved the Kids Moon Club so much in 2025, we will be continuing in 2026.

I hope if you feel called to join the Kids Moon Club for 2026 then you see this before midnight tonight and if not, encourage you to keep it on your list for next year + explore the other offerings from .

Cheers to the moon, la luna, and the year to come. 🌖 ✨

The weather readers may say it feels like 5°F outside,
but I’m still gonna get outside because that’s how I’ve found that I start to find everything I’ve been looking for.
Metaphorically and often literally speaking too.

Today I’ve been reminded that another
calendar year is nearly gone ~
What will go with it?
What am I wanting to welcome (possibly back) in?
What will I start to nurture in these cold days to grow fresh as the seasons change?
I’m also reminded that I simply don’t have to have all of the answers right now.
And still, there’s much to ponder as I wander.

Here’s hoping you’re able to take a wander and get out too.

❄️ Looking for ways to make some holiday magic in Indianapolis?

📌 SAVE this so you can come back to it easily!

1. ❄️ Winterfaire at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis - this museum is amazing in and of itself. Add in the magic of the winter slide & other festivities for the holidays & you can’t go wrong. Open thru Feb 2026.

2. Celebration Crossing at Indiana State Museum - hop on the Snowfall Express train & experience tons of hands on holiday fun throughout the museum. 🌲 Open thru January 4, 2026.

3. Jingle Rails at the Eiteljorg Museum - “a magical model train wonderland consisting of multiple G-Scale trains 🚂 winding through stunning landscapes & past iconic landmarks of Indy and the West.” We love that natural materials are used in the creation of the scenes, like the Old Faithful fungi and walnuts used on Totem Poles from Tlingit villages in AK 🍄. Open thru January 19, 2026.

4. Conner Prairie’s “A Merry Prairie Holiday” — Prairietown, cheeky elves, tube slides, & so much more - such an awesome event. While not in Indianapolis, it’s only about half an hour from the city and well worth it. 🌟 there’s only one more full weekend of this event this season, so if you can’t make it this year, make a note for next year!

💰 Looking for discounts? Visitindy.com also has the Indy Attraction Pass, which offers options for one or three day passes 🎟️ to visit all of these sites and MORE! (hint: you’ll need more than one day to enjoy all of them! 😉).

⭐️ ⭐️ All of these locations participate in the Access Pass program, available to qualifying local families, which offers tickets to events such as these at a considerable discount!

We wish you lots of ✨magic✨ this holiday season!
