WHAT IS A PICTURE CAR? Whether you call them Movie Cars, Film Cars, Auto Props, Film Vehicles, Prop Cars or Picture Cars, a Picture Car is a vehicle that is filmed on camera. Picture Cars are the Automotive version of Actors. Thousands of production companies nationwide Film Movies, Commercials, TV Shows, and do Print Work. When Production Companies create their shoots they often have a specific vehicle, or vehicles, in mind. You pick the TV Shows, Movies, Films or Commercials that are a fit for you, and if your Car/Vehicle is selected as a Picture Car for the TV Show or Movie, etc., we’ll send you a Certificate of Insurance (COI) prior to the shoot. (You can use this as a legitimate Certificate of Authenticity (COA) that YOUR picture car was the one used on the Movie or TV Show)

What ages of Picture Cars/Vehicles do you need?
Picture Cars of all years are used. Some Movies and TV Shows need Antique Cars, Classic Cars and Muscle Cars, while other Films or TV Commercials might need modern day cars. Every Film Production is different and needs different Picture Cars.
What condition do the Picture Cars/Vehicles need to be in?
Picture Cars of every condition are needed for all different purposes. Brand New Cars, Non-Descript (ND Picture Cars), and even wrecked Cars are needed. Any condition Picture Car has its place on screen.
What kinds of Picture Cars/Vehicles do you need?
Every Movie, TV Show, Film or Commercial is different, and needs all kinds of different Picture Cars, ranging from Motorcycles, Boats, Commercial Vehicles, Military Vehicles, Police Cars, Ambulances, Trucks, Cars, Tractors and more!
Can I drive my Picture Car/Vehicles on set?
Each Film Production is different. Some Movie Productions may want you on set to drive the Vehicle, while others may not. This information will all be provided before you submit for any Movie or TV Show. In many of the Film Productions, the Picture Car is not driven, but merely used to set the scene.
What if my Picture Car/Vehicles get damaged on set?
While we hope this never happens, we make sure each Production working with USA Movie Cars is fully insured in case of just such an occurrence on set.
Is Insurance Provided for my Picture Car/Vehicles?
Insurance is provided for 100% of Picture Cars and Film Sets we work on. You will be provided a Certificate of Insurance before your Car/Vehicle ever comes to set.
How does my Car/Vehicle get to the Film Set?
Each Film Production and each Picture Car is different. Depending on the Picture Car and the Film Production, it may be self-driven or delivered on a flatbed. All of this will be discussed prior.
