Honoring culture through education and expression ✊🏾
The Unity Center’s “Mastering Natural Hair” program brought students together to share techniques, stories and cultural knowledge about natural hair. Through hands-on demonstrations and meaningful dialogue, the event highlighted both the beauty and history behind Black hair.
From protective styles to the impact of the CROWN Act, students explored how hair is deeply connected to identity, culture and self-expression.

The Knights faced No. 24 Taylor at home, falling 68–42. Even as the deficit grew, Marian showed grit late in the game—outscoring Taylor in the final minutes and continuing to push forward.

Marian University celebrated the 100th anniversary of Black History Month with a monthlong series of events led by UBI, the Marian Leadership Committee and the Unity Center. From cultural dining and creative workshops to meaningful conversations and the annual Soul Food Dinner, the campus came together to reflect, learn and connect.
