Many people say, “Jesus is coming soon,” but the “soon” of Scripture is not measured by human calendars. It’s measured by the timetable of God.
And God’s timetable is eternal, sovereign, and not bound to our sense of days, weeks, or years.
But here’s the truth most won’t admit:
As people age, what they often feel is not the nearness of Christ’s return—
it’s the nearness of their own mortality.
The older we get, the shorter life feels.
The more fragile the body becomes, the more eternity becomes real.
And instead of acknowledging that reality, many project it onto eschatology.
But Scripture teaches this clearly:
Most of us will be asleep when Christ returns.
So the real question is not When will He come?
The real question is Will I be in Him when I sleep?
I’m leaving the timetable of His return in the hands of the Lord.
My assignment is to usher in the Kingdom now—
on earth as it is in heaven.
Because it is appointed unto man once to die, and after that, the judgment.
So the focus is simple:
Am I ready to sleep?
And when I do sleep, will I sleep in Christ or in eternal separation from Him?
That’s the urgency.
That’s the call.
That’s the Kingdom.
