🎶✨ The Ronen Chamber Ensemble returns to St. Paul’s Indy on Sunday!

📅 Sunday, September 28 | 🕓 4 p.m. | 📍St. Paul's Episcopal Church

The spirit of Brahms hovers over Ronen’s first concert of the season, a program flanked by two of the German icon’s chamber masterpieces: the first violin sonata, in an arrangement for flute and piano, and the so-called “Werther” piano quartet, a tragic piece rooted in the composer’s youthful love for a married woman (any guesses?). The trio for oboe, horn, and piano by Brahms’s friend Heinrich von Herzogenberg, featuring Ronen co-artistic director Jennifer Christen, rounds out the evening.

✨ Proud Choir Moment! ✨

On Thursday, September 11, the youth of St. Paul’s Choir School lifted their voices to sing the national anthem at the Indianapolis Indians game — and they were amazing! 🙌 Fans and Indians staff alike shared compliments about how beautifully they sang. 🎶

The evening was made even more special with a warm introduction (and some fun time) with the Indians’ beloved mascot, Rowdie. 🐻⚾

We are so proud of our young singers — what a joyful night for St. Paul’s Choir School!

The Lord is (almost) risen indeed! 🕊☀️

Our choir has been preparing something truly special to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior! Join us for a joyful and spirit-filled Easter Sunday at 9 a.m. or 11:15 a.m.

We have been working hard to prepare arrangements of pieces such as the Trinity Te Deum by Ēriks Ešenvalds and the Gloria (Service in A Minor) by Harold Darke.

There will be plenty more music and celebration to be had, and we would love to see you and your family at St. Paul's Episcopal Church to celebrate Easter together! 🐰🐣

On Sunday, March 23, at 11:15 a.m., experience the beauty of Sung Morning Prayer, the morning companion to Choral Evensong. Held on the second and fourth Sundays of each month at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, this service features choral canticles, responses, psalms and congregational hymns in a reflective and uplifting liturgy.

This Sunday, St. Paul’s Choir will offer music by Henry Purcell, Annabel Rooney and more — a perfect way to start your day in sacred song.

🎶🧑‍🎤 St. Paul’s Music and the Indy Sacred Harp community invites you to join the Swarens Memorial Higher Ground All-Day Singing on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Parish Hall at St. Paul's Episcopal Church! ✉️

Singing will begin at 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. from both the 1991 revision “The Sacred Harp” and “The Shenandoah Harmony,” with dinner on the grounds at noon. Don’t have a book? No problem! Loaner tune books will be available. 🦃🎶

As much as we would love to have you, we also encourage everyone to take precautions and please do not attend if you are not feeling well or have been exposed to Covid recently or have any Covid symptoms. Masks will be available but not required. 😷
