Intro and story time!

I’m Megan, am endlessly intrigued with painting. I have created a new body of work that will be exhibited along side my husband’s new ceramic work. We both have been professional artists for over 20 years.

All of my pieces explore depth of field, not just as a beautiful visual celebration, but as an experience that engages the viewer’s entire being.

Inspired by the scenic beauty of rural Indiana, my paintings serve as a portal. My aim is to make work that serves as a conduit, a gateway to shift not only your visual experience but to activate your entire state of mind and body.

Our eyes, integral to the central nervous system, shape our physical states. A broad focus activates the parasympathetic nervous system, slowing breath, heart rate, and inducing relaxation. These paintings explore the profound impact of visual stimuli, revealing how vision and focus activate the parasympathetic nervous system—creating a state where healing can occur.

Through the lens of art, I encourage contemplation of the intricate relationship between what we see and how it influences our state of mind.
