🎧 INFECTIOUS UNEASE SUBTERRANEAN ZONE RADIO — PRESS RELEASE 🎧 OLD CHAPTERS HAVE CLOSED. NEW CHAPTERS ARE BEING WRITTEN — ALIVE, DELIBERATE, AND UNRESTRAINED. INFECTIOUS UNEASE SUBTERRANEAN ZONE RADIO IS BREATHING, ALIVE, METAMORPHOSING.
For decades, Infectious Unease Subterranean Zone Radio has journeyed across rooms, frequencies, and eras. Born from mix tapes in 1985, it became a stage to host, broadcast, and connect souls and sounds from around the world. Thirty-three chapters were written — each carrying, surviving, and overcoming in its own way.
After 33 years at 96.5 Inner FM (Australia), a space that held the signal for a season, I have chosen to step away. This is a quiet farewell, without rancour, acknowledging that some chapters reach their natural conclusion, and that evolution demands freedom.
Since August 2022, Wax Radio (USA — Indianapolis) has embraced Infectious Unease Radio, offering support, promotion, and the freedom to grow and experiment. For six years, Wax Radio has been a true home for this intercultural underground transmission — a space where the signal is welcomed, respected, and allowed to flourish.
A heartfelt thank you to Robert Cotterman, Spike Heart, and the entire Wax Radio team for providing this platform to develop, experiment, and evolve without restriction.
The past is honoured. The future is open. This transmission continues, for listeners who follow the signal, and for the artists and labels who trust me with their work.
The journey goes on. The music persists. The night is alive.
